Us to You: The Merriest

As we near the crescendo of the holiday season, we wanted to share with you stories of how some of your fellow stations are partaking in the festivities. KUED

KUED partnered with other local Utah stations to collect food and clothing for families in need. In total, they collected an impressive 72 turkeys, 11 hams, almost 1900 pounds of food, 3 1/2 van loads of clothing and blankets, and more than $2,000. Wow! What a great way to kick off the holidays.

When people see a reindeer walking around downtown Anchorage, it raises lots of questions and eyebrows. So why not profile "Star the Reindeer" on an episode of Indie Alaska? Check out this episode to find out what it's really like to own a reindeer. It's not too late to add a reindeer to your Christmas list!

PBS Newshour recently hosted a Cookie-Off, where, yep you guessed it, employees brought in their most prized homemade holiday cookies to share! After testing all the sweets, judges chose three winners: Hello Dollies, Pumpkin Spice cookies, and Peppermint cookies (pictured below). PBS SoCal was also baking spirits bright with their own day of cookie-centered celebrations. Everyone knows nothing spreads holiday cheer quite like From Santa face cupcakes, to homemade toffee, employees brought in homemade holiday goodies. Looks delicious!
