Google recently announced some exciting updates to Analytics, including two features that may be particularly useful to stations—Analytics Academy and on-screen tutorial videos!
Analytics Academy is a new learning platform offered for free from Google. The first course, "Digital Analytics Fundamentals," started October 8th, but since the courses are video lesson series, you can sign up now and start working your way through each lesson. This first course consists of 22 videos, lasting 3-10 minutes each, plus activities and brief assessments to track what you're learning. There are also opportunities to connect with others in the analytics community through live hangouts during the courses.

Another new feature is on-screen video tutorials that you can access directly when logged-in to your Google Analytics interface. These videos are available by clicking the small graduation cap icon on the top right of your GA interface:
This will open a drop-down with video tutorials related to the report you're currently in, as well as links to written guides for some reports and metrics. This is great for a quick reminder of how to most effectively use the data in each report, along with pointing you to more detailed information about implementation.
We encourage you to take advantage of these new tools, and please let us know if you have any feedback on them!
