NETA: Day 3 Recap

NETA 2013 was a very exciting conference on so many levels. Not only was it my first time attending NETA, but it also marks my first conference in public media! Hats off to the folks at NETA for organizing such a great event. It's been great being able to put faces with the names I email daily.

I particularly enjoyed the social media track with Ed Reggi from Nine Network, and Ashley Jefcoat from Mississippi Public Broadcasting. Today, they hosted an open Q&A session where stations shared their experiences utilizing social media, both good and bad. Overall, the takeaway was that if employees are trusted with social media and have a solid media policy to follow, the sky is the limit on how successful a campaign can be.
