Stanford University, a person's influence is measured in three distinct ways.
First, a person's follower count implies popularity, retweets represent the value of their content, and mentions show the name value of the user. By analyzing a large amount of Twitter data, the researchers found that the most influential users carried clout over a variety of topics.
