SPIographies: Marla Krueger Bosta

Describe your role on the PBS Digital team.
I provide support for station-related inquiries into PBS Digital products and aggregate station feedback to help guide station product development.

How will the digital world change over the next few years?
It will continue to grow as a source of empowerment; a platform for voices to be heard with a little more resonance and, eventually, a new playing field of accountability.

How would you explain COVE to a 10-year-old?
COVE is like a Lite Brite. You have many tiny pieces that you put together on a canvas to illuminate your creativity to showcase! Actually, who am I kidding? It would take me longer to explain to a 10 year-old what a Lite Brite is than what COVE is.

What is the one website you can’t live without?
Any authority that helps resolve 80’s pop culture arguments.

What book do you think every person needs to read and why?
Is this a trick? This is a trick. I grew up in house full of passionate English majors. Any book I recommend will lead to a barrage of harangues over Thanksgiving this year.

As a teacher myself, I recommend reading something and anything always. If you are open to suggestions, might I recommend The Good Earth, by Pearl S. Buck? Why? O-Lan.

What is your favorite mobile app?
Maps. I’d be lost without it.

Describe your perfect weekend.
Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

If you could have a Google Hangout with any person, who would it be?
My little sister. The kid is hilarious. She taught me most of what I know of Dinosaur classifications, British Lit., and humility.

Describe the internet in one word.
