We work and play in worlds that are dynamically changing. In these worlds, media departments can’t function if their tools and resources are not also dynamic. This need for flexibility and accessibility is why we’ve decided to take a look at our current products and services and how we can best provide them to the system. We decided to crack open our current solution, Station Remote Control (SRC), and see what we found there.
Over the past few months we’ve been reviewing our documentation, evaluating our product offerings, and working on finding ways to make it easier and more efficient for stations to find the information they need - when and where they need it. At the same time, we want to provide a station-centric and collaborative space.
We’ve concluded that a new and improved station communication and resource hub is necessary and now find ourselves in need of your help. Since projects are nothing without a good name, we wonder what to call this new space and would like your ideas. If you had to give a name to a station resource center, which includes product documentation, collaboration hubs, and best practices guidelines, what would it be?
Send us your name ideas! Every time you send a submission either by commenting below, sending an email or tweeting @SPI_PBS with the hashtag #NewSRC, you will be eligible to receive a PBS Interactive prize package. And if your idea is selected it will be unveiled at this year’s PBS Annual Meeting.
Keep coming back to the blog for more updates on this project and to check out all the new names submitted.
